A Guide to Accessing Food in Danbury
The Danbury Food Collaborative works together to improve access to food, quality of food, and sustainability of food for all members of the greater Danbury community. Members meet on a regular basis to address food insecurity with a focus on food rescue and delivery, client needs and trends, and other shared concerns.

Nurse Home Visiting Program for Pregnant People
RVNA Health is now enrolling first-time pregnant individuals into the Nurse-Family Partnership program. This free program pairs first-time parents with a nurse home visitor from pregnancy until the child turns 2.
Who is eligible to enroll? Any person who:
- Is pregnant with their first child
- Is 28 weeks or less pregnant
- Meets income requirements
- Lives in the Greater Danbury area, Waterbury or Torrington areas

Join us at the Danbury Farmers' Market and enjoy a $15 credit toward market produce for each family that attends. Additionally, WIC recipients are eligible for a $30 match and $25 for Seniors who have active benefit cards.
UConn Extension’s Heather Peracchio and Juliana Restrepo Marin will demonstrate how to make quick, delicious, and budget-friendly meals at 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM on each market day.
Live Well - Telephone Workshops for Chronic Conditions
Join a FREE 6-week workshop to learn how to better manage your ongoing health conditions. Live Well offers a range of workshops to help older adults learn techniques for managing the following conditions: Diabetes, Chronic Pain, and other Chronic Conditions.
To participate, all you need is a phone. Simply call the toll-free number once a week to connect to the group call.
