You’re eligible if you’re:
- Graduating from an eligible high school in Fairfield County
- In good Academic standing, with a minimum GPA of 2.7*
- Planning to attend an accredited 2- or 4-year educational or vocational institution

SimplifyCT is offering volunteer income tax assistance to Norwalk residents. You can book appointments for tax preparation at City Hall by visiting the link below. Other locations, days, and times can be found by visiting the SimplifyCT website here.
Norwalk Public Schools Kindergarten Registration
Norwalk Families 2025-2026 Kindergarten Registration has began. Families can register in person at NPS Family Center Monday through Friday (see schedule for times). If needed, all Kindergarten assessments will be on Wednesday and Thursday by appointment only.
Required Registration:
- Child's Birth Certificate or Passport
- Parent/Guardian Photo ID
- Proof of Residency: (Mortgage Statement, Deed, Lease or Residency Affidavit AND 2 Recent Utility Bills)
- Most recent Physical/Medical on CT Health Assessment Form

YWCA Economic Empowerment Program
On Wednesdays, March 26th - May 14th
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Norwalk Chamber of Commerce (In-Person)
Throughout the program, participants will develop skills in digital proficiency, job readiness, financial literacy, and workplace success. To ensure a hands-on and personalized experience, we are capping the class size at 15 participants.

The Bridge Project
The Bridge Project is providing unconditional cash assistance to 500 families across the state of Connecticut to cover necessities and foster family stability in the first 1,000 days of a child's life. If you are selected by lottery to join the program, you will be in The Bridge Project for 36 months and will receive up to $750 a month, to be used however you see fit with no strings attached.
In order to fill out the interest form for The Bridge Project, you must meet all of the below eligibility requirements: Be 18 years old or older Be 23 weeks pregnant or less Have an annual household income under $44,000 Live in Connecticut Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
