Support SB 1511: AN ACT CONCERNING DISCONNECTED YOUTH Addresses youth disconnection by increasing targeted funding, improving data systems, creating oversight boards, establishing school-based mental health services and requiring equitable distribution of youth workforce funds.

  • EXPAND DATA: Explain how data is a key aspect of your organization’s work, and the more we have the better
  • OVERSIGHT BOARDS: We would be excited to join youth success oversight boards in our COGs - share any examples of existing databases for service providers and integrated case management between providers  
  • 💰 FUNDING: It’s critical to connect the crisis directly to sustainable public funding

CT Early Childhood Alliance’s Federal Immigration Policy Info Session

In light of the changes to Federal immigration policy, and in response to the recent ICE raids occurring across the country, CT Early Childhood Alliance is partnering with CT Voices for Children and CSEA to host an informational session for child care professionals centered on how these issues can impact your center, and how to address them proactively. An attorney will be there to present and answer any questions you may have. Spanish interpretation will be provided.   

Ag Day at the Capitol (Hall of Flags and North Lobby) 

Wednesday, March 19th 10:00 am – 1:00 pm 
Hosted by Connecticut Department of Agriculture and the Connecticut Agricultural Information Council. Experience the diversity of the state’s agriculture and sample CT Grown food products alongside legislators, staff and community partners. This is a great opportunity to meet allies and chat with legislators about school meals for all and other food security priorities.

Register for the event to here the Governor discuss his legislative priorities, the state budget and the Administration.

Check-in and light refreshments at 5:30 p.m. Event begins at 6:00 p.m. 
Free to attend, registration required. Event will be live-streamed as well.
