Bridgeport, CT (January 30, 2025) — United Way of Coastal and Western Connecticut (UWCWC) celebrated the highly anticipated launch of Women United on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the Westport Library in Westport, CT. This inaugural event brought together over 100 attendees, uniting individuals across the region to advance the health, education, and financial stability of women and children in Fairfield and Southern Litchfield Counties.

Every year, the hallways of United Way of Coastal and Western Connecticut are filled with the tantalizing aromas of holiday cheer. The annual potluck lunch is a beloved tradition, where colleagues gather to share stories, laughter, and of course, delicious food.

The Stamford Youth Mental Health Alliance (YMHA) is offering Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) training in Spanish this spring for adults who regularly interact with young people. The course covers common mental health challenges, adolescent development, and a five-step action plan for assisting young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations.

Participant registration is now open for Girls Who Code. Our volunteers from last session are returning March 5th to bring this fun program to girls in grades 3rd through 5th. Beginner to intermediate skills are welcome.
Unfortunately bus transportation is not available from Sarah Noble Intermediate School to John Pettibone Community Center.
Registration is required as spots are limited.
